Are you a worry wart?

Do you find yourself worrying a lot? Worrying takes up a lot of time and energy and keeps you from moving in the direction that would help with your worrying. Dr. Wayne Dyer whom I respect a lot says this: "It makes no sense to worry about things you have no control over because there's nothing you can do about them, and why worry about things you do control? The activity of worrying keeps you immobilized." True. But to stop ourselves from worrying is not as easy as it sounds. We seem to be helpless about it. There are however a few tricks you can use to stop yourself from worrying e.g. Joyce Meyer says: When you begin to worry, go find something to do. Get busy being a blessing to someone; do something fruitful. Talking about your problem or sitting alone, thinking about it, does no good; it serves only to make you miserable. Above all else, remember that worrying is totally useless. Worrying will not solve your problem. Joyce Meyer
