Employment Opportunity: New Directors for Children, Youth, Adults & Families is seeking a Support Facilitator for its TERF Program. The TERF (Transition, Education and Resources for Females) Program provides a supportive, healing environment for females and transgender individuals (age 13 and up), who have been sexually exploited. Responsibilities will include: assisting in the classroom, providing intensive one/one support with participants, attending various appointments with participants, facilitating and coordinating cultural, skill-promoting and recreational outings, providing support to classroom activities, promoting healthy lifestyles and choices, advocacy and record keeping. Applicants should have previous experience working with youth who have been marginalized and exploited; a Child and Youth Care Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience required; a demonstrated knowledge, awareness and sensitivity of Aboriginal Cultures and Traditions, inclusive of multi-cultural beliefs and lifestyles; ability to work variable shifts including evenings and weekends; a vehicle and valid driver’s license and willing to use own vehicle for work, along with excellent team skills, creativity and high energy level.
