Position: Mentorship
Facilitator (Full time, 35 hours per week)
Program: Mentorship
& Outreach Program
Position summary:
The
Mentorship Facilitator will be responsible for:
· Working with
community groups and institutions to recruit volunteers to be mentors (requires
small and large group presentations)
·
Screening, training, matching and supervising
mentorship matches for children and youth between the ages of 6-18 years
·
Data entry and reporting information on mentorship
matches
·
Communicating with mentors and providing support when
required (troubleshooting, program ideas, group events, etc)
·
Working within existing N.E.E.D.S. programs to help
support newcomer youth and families
· Data entry and
reporting
Qualifications:
- Graduated
from University or College OR equivalent education and/or experience
- Strong
understanding of the challenges associated with immigration and settlement
- Experience
working with refugee youth and families
- Experience
managing and supervising volunteers an asset
- Exceptional
interpersonal communication skills an asset
- Additional
languages an asset
