Cultural Ambassadors

The Manitoba Association for Rights and Liberties is looking for young adults (18-25) to join a new program working to promote pluralism in Manitoba.

Participants will become “intercultural ambassadors” and will build their understanding on diversity and pluralism through cross cultural training, many interesting speakers on issues from religion to politics and even the law. Participants will then take the lead in developing a project as a group to

teach others about pluralism.

Sessions will run on Thursdays May 1st through June 20th from 5:30 to 7:30. Dinner will be provided.

If you would like to learn more about this program or to sign up please email us at connect@marl.mb.ca. Please include a brief write up on your interest in Pluralism.

Did Victoria Secret go too far

Is this a case of entitlement of the dominant culture? Before something goes to press or on the market, do businesses have a cultural check to see what could be the fallout? or they do and take their chances anyway. Sometimes this is a deliberate act to get more coverage for their products. I do not think that a company such as Victoria Secret would have done this in error.
You know what to do.  If you are mad enough you show it with your dollars?
