Principal of Senior School


Commencing August 18, 2014

The SJR Senior School (Grades 9-12), which has a distinct identity and a dedicated space within the School, has an enrolment of 350 students and a staff of 45.

The Principal will be an accomplished and caring educator with a track record of professional excellence, proven leadership experience and skills, ability to implement a variety of innovative practices, and relevant administrative experience. Possessing superior communication skills, s/he is capable of engaging stakeholders and inspiring teachers and students. The successful candidate will promote an environment of high standards for 21st century teaching and learning to ensure student success and oversee an extensive co-curricular program. Candidates are also expected to have experience in meeting the needs of senior years students. As a member of the Senior Administrative Team, the Principal contributes to SJR policy development and school management. Working within a collaborative learning environment, leadership is modelled through shared vision and values.

Successful candidates should have an advanced degree and must hold a Manitoba Teaching Certificate or be eligible to obtain one. Please refer to the SJR website at www.sjr.mb.ca for a detailed position description.
