Receptionist Wanted - Fort Garry Women's Resource Centre - Winnipeg

FGWRC is seeking a Receptionist



Fort Garry Women’s Resource Centre (FGWRC) is seeking a 40 hour per week Receptionist for a 1 year term until May 1, 2019, with the possibility of extension dependent on funding.

The Receptionist will be the first point of contact for all clients and inquiries at FGWRC. This position will be responsible for answering phones as scheduled, providing resources and referrals to community women, greeting in-coming clients, and coordinating other front desk activities as required.
Working Conditions:
  • Be available during office hours Monday - Friday 9-4.
  • Evening work may occasionally be required.

Reporting to on site Management, the Receptionist will respond to all incoming calls, greet and direct all visitors, answering inquiries in a positive and professional manner, representative of Revera.

Key Responsibilities

  • To answer all incoming calls, and respond to caller's inquiries in a positive, professional manner ;
  • To redirect calls as appropriate and take clear, concise messages when required;
  • To greet, assist and direct all visitors;
  • To pick up and sort internal mail;
  • To stamp, deliver and maintain mail machine for external mail;
  • To prepare packages and arrange courier pick up;
  • To arrange meeting room schedule and bookings;
  • To update phone and distribution lists;
  • To maintain a clean, safe, fully stocked and well organized reception area;
  • To assist with small projects as required by other administrative support (i.e. labels, bulk mailing, etc.);
  • To complete other duties as assigned;
  • To uphold and promote the organization's values and philosophy relating particularly to ethics, morality, and integrity as set out in Revera's Code of Conduct.

Qualifications

  • Above average interpersonal , oral and written communication skills;
  • Previous experience in reception is considered an asset;
  • Must exhibit professional and polished telephone manner;
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at once, work under pressure, and meet deadlines;
  • Highly organized and detail focused;
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office ( Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-Mail)
  • Current (within 6 months) Vulnerable Position/Sector Screening (VPS).

Conflict Resolution
Front Desk Receptionist – Office Assistant
A job-sharing opportunity for an individual who would like to work part-time (.4 to .6 fte).
The individuals in this role will share the duties of front desk reception and administrative tasks that
support the work of Mediation Services.
Mediation Services is a community based organization offering conflict resolution services
to Manitobans since 1979. These services include comprehensive training in conflict
resolution skills, victim/offender mediation, mediation for family/neighbourhood disputes,
and volunteer opportunities. Mediation Services offers a great working and learning
environment and is looking for someone who is highly motivated, has a positive attitude
and is willing to play a supportive role in the organization.
Qualifications:
·
Self motivated, organized and able to manage time effectively
·
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
·
Excellent computer skills (data base, word processing and spreadsheet proficiency)
·
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
·
Willingness to work as a team player with collaborative decision-making processes.
·
Accounting (familiarity with Quick Books an asset)
Responsibilities:
